Your Zodiac Sign has Changed

Your Zodiac Sign has Changed

If you haven’t heard, the Zodiac Sign Dates have changed. Yup, we’re going straight to it today. So apparently whatever you’ve thought you were your entire life and if you’re into astrology and the zodiac, the following information will change your life. I heard about it via Twitter, since that’s where I hear everything now a days, and just couldn’t stay away from the story. So this is how it went down. The Minnesota Planetarium Society has been doing research and found that  the alignment of the stars was pushed by something like a month because of the moon’s gravitational pull on Earth.

In case you didn’t know, apparently the signs have had “issues” since their inception. Reported by NewsFeed.Time.com, Ancient Babylonians had 13 constellations, but wanted only 12, so they threw out Ophuchicus, the snake holder (this one is back in). And Libra didn’t even enter the picture until the era of Julius Caesar. In other words, your horoscopes have been wrong since you started looking at them. According to Peter Kunkle, a member of the MPS, using the stars for personality traits is wrong, “Sure, we can connect harvest to the stars, but personality? No.”

That’s enough talking, here’s the list of new dates for your zodiac signs:

  • Capricorn: Jan. 20- Feb. 16
  • Aquarius: Feb 16-March 11
  • Piseces: March 11- April 18
  • Aries: April 18- May 13
  • Taurus: May 13- June 21
  • Gemini: June 21-July 20
  • Cancer: July 20- Aug. 10
  • Leo: Aug. 10- Sept. 16
  • Virgo: Sept 16- Oct. 30
  • Libra: Oct. 30- Nov. 23
  • Scorpio: Nov. 23-29
  • Ophichuchus: Nov. 29- De. 17 (That’s the new one. Find out more about this new sign here.)
  • Sagittarius: Dec. 17- Jan. 20

Honestly, I’m a Taurus, I will always be a Taurus, and there is nothing about an Aries that matches anything that I’m like. I don’t follow astrology as much as I used to but I’m fascinated by it. So spread the word, tell you friends to tell their friends about this new and fascinating change in astrology. You know you want to.
