Fall TV 2011: Thursday-Sunday

Thursdays, as most people know, is prime real estate for TV shows. Only the best make it to Thursdays!: CBS: The Big Bang Theory… Last we saw, everyone was walking in as Penny was taking the walk of shame after waking up next to Raj in bed. Bernadette and Howard got engaged and Priya moved back home. The real question should be, why shouldn’t you watch this show? MUST WATCH. How to be a Gentlemen… I don’t know. Kevin Dillon playing the same ole role and David Hornsby playing opposite in a show he’s writing? This one’s a TOSS UP. Person of Interest… Oh how I love Jim Caviezel but oh how I don’t love J.J. Abrams. By the end of this, we’re gonna find out that everyone is either dead or stuck in some kind of time loop. Time Waster. The Mentalist… The chemistry between Simon Baker and Robin Tunney is bitter-sweet and comically smart. Jane is in Jail and the entire team is suspended. MUST WATCH.

NBC: Community… No thanks. Time Waster. Parks and Recreation… Time Waster. The Office… Time Waster.  Whitney… did anyone else laugh hysterically when she’s dressed as a maid in a promo and the boyfriend says, “Can you iron these too?” MUST WATCH. Prime Suspect…Gotta say I’m looking forward to this one. It’s about time there was another show that had a strong female lead that doesn’t care if she breaks a nail. She’s still gonna go out that later that night. Maria Bello is the one to watch. MUST WATCH.

FOX: BONES…Woah there’s a lot going on here. Angela and Hodgins have baby Michael. Brennan and Booth are having a baby but still not really doing much of anything else. Sweets will be joining Booth on the field more and Daisy is really like it. And Cam has a new intern to “break in.” If you’re a long time fan, you know you want to see where the hell creators Nathan and Hanson are going to go this season. MUST WATCH.

ABC: Charlie’s Angels… Please. This is going to be ridiculous. Time Waster.  Grey’s Anatomy… It’s now in its finally season. Will I watch? Maybe the premiere and the season final. Time Waster. Private Practice…I’m so not gonna hate on this show. Toss Up.

Now let’s be real here. Friday’s are really the kiss of death for TV shows. Still Blue Bloods made it through. Friday: CBS: A Gifted Man…I feel like this one is going to be Medium but with a spin. A doctor that sees his death ex-wife? “You are now entering the twilight zone.” Toss Up. CSI:NY… Toss Up. Blue Bloods… Hell if this show can make it through an entire season on Fridays, it must be worth it. MUST WATCH.

NBC: Chuck… Time Waster. Grimm… First, I’m surprised that NBC is even featuring a show of the more “supernatural” persuasion. Second, it’s from the writers of Buffy and Angel. But really, how many Brother’s Grimm stories are there for these guys to use? Toss Up.

FOX: Kitchen Nightmares… This show just makes me hate places I love. Time Waster. Fringe… With the big change happening at the end of last season, I’m pretty positive that the fans will keep this one going for as long as they want. Peter Bishop is left to save both worlds and now they’re saying that maybe he never existed. Exec Producer Wyman says, “You’re going to see him, but perhaps not in the way you’re anticipating.” MUST WATCH.

And as well all know, shows on Saturdays are really just kissing the grave. CBS: Rules of Engagement… The sad part is, I really like this show and for the sake of the cast and writers, I hope that the fans keep it a live. Russell is going to announce that he and Liz were married on the ship during a drunken evening. MUST WATCH (Just for David Spades reaction).

Sunday: CBS: The Good Wife… Alicia and Will did the dirty deed, so what’s next? Alicia get a “new and fresh” start, according to Margulies. Peter is now in the chair at the State’s attorney’s office. Will actually managed to stir up trouble with an old flame, Lisa Edelstein. MUST WATCH.  CSI: Miami… There’s only so many CSI’s you can have before it gets annoying. Time Waster.

FOX: The Simpsons…I still can’t believe this show is still on. Time Waster. Allen GregoryFamily Guy… Stewie really is the reason why anyone watches this show. MUST WATCH.  American Dad… I’m not sure… Toss Up?

ABC: Once Upon a Time… All they had to say was “Were you a fan of Lost?” for me to say… Time Waster. Desperate Housewives… This one also managed to let this be its final season. I’ll catch the series finale. Time Waster. Pan Am… Okay so this one is cheesy and yes since it’s from creator of ER and JAG, I’m thinking it might have some serious potential. Plus, apparently the stories are based on one woman’s actual experiences. MUST WATCH.

And That’s all Folks. Look out for the Fall Line Up for HBO, STARZ and Showtime later this week.

  1. I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours these days, yet I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is lovely value enough for me. Personally, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will probably be a lot more helpful than ever before.

    • I very hard to not censor myself. Which is probably why so many people seem to enjoy it. I’m glad I could bring you over to the DARK SIDE. Welcome. We don’t have ice water. HAHAHA
