Cat In the Hat in 3D

With the success of The Lorax Illumination Entertainment are planning on doing the same thing by bringing to life The Cat In the Hat in 3D animated form. Now make sure you pay attention to the important word ANIMATED. Not live action but animated. BIG Difference.

Deadline has confirmed that The Cat in the Hat will “get a second chance at cinematic life, with the creative minds over at Illumination Entertainment holding the reins.” As we all know, the 2003 Live-Action film didn’t do as well as anyone anticipated. However, this time around they’re hoping that with the successes of The Lorax and Horton Hears a Who, this beloved Seuss novel will hit theaters with a exciting and thrilled audience. The script has been assigned to Rob Lieber, an up-and-comer who recently penned two in-development children’s picture book adaptations: Alexander and the Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and Jeremy Cabbage and the Living Museum of Human Oddballs and Quadrupled Delights.

Updates will be posted as they are announced.
