Disney and Pixar got a New Princess

You heard right my friends. Disney and Pixar have teamed up for yet another Princess movie. However, this girl is anything but a Princess. Her name is Merida and although she looks the part, don’t let that fool you. She is a spunky curly-haired Scottish heroine that knows how to use a bow and arrow and will truly beat you to the punch. “She’s your anti-princess,” said “Brave” co-director Mark Andrews. “She isn’t your typical princess. She doesn’t wear nice clothes except in a couple of scenes when her strict mom, Queen Elinor, makes her do it for special functions. She’s an active and action-oriented person. She wants to get out in the outdoors of the Highlands, escaping from castle life and exploring the woods.” “Brave” is set to be released June 22 of next year. The story is set in medieval Scotland and focuses not on the girl but on her frustrating relationship with her mother. The trailer for the movie is set to be released tomorrow, Tuesday.

Voice talent for this new adventure includes Kelly Macdonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Craig Feruson, Kevin McKidd and Robbie Coltrane.
